Blue Sea Development Company, whose Morrisania Homes project in the South Bronx, N.Y., was New York state's first LEED for Homes-certified affordable housing development, is again working on green affordable housing for South Bronx residents. When it's finished, the five-story, 71,640-square-foot Melrose Commons 5 (download an artist's rendering) will provide one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments to 63 families whose income is less than 60% of the area's median.
