This home is so green, it's gold
The "green" home that has been under construction since May on a quiet street in northeast St. Petersburg opens its doors to the public today and Sunday. Visitors will see the only home in Florida that has been certified "gold" by the U.S. Green Building Coalition under its LEED program

Home gets high green certification
Florida has its first gold-certified green-built home, and it's in St. Petersburg. A model home constructed by REAL Building has received one of the highest certifications by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
