Pilot culminates in the first LEED-certified house in Chester County, Pennsylvania, built by TMG Homes, Inc.
Glenmoore, PA (PRWEB) March 21, 2008 – TMG Homes, Inc., will host an open house on Sunday, April 6, for the first LEED-certified house built in Chester County. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a green building program run by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). In 2005, LEED began piloting a program for residential homes involving about 400 builders across the U.S. TMG Homes is the only builder in Chester County that participated in the pilot and now, with construction completed, is ready to open the house to the public. Countrywide offers discounted rates for buyers of green and energy-efficient homes
Countrywide Home Loans, a division of Countrywide Bank, FSB, today announced the retail launch of its Green Incentive Program, which will initially be available to qualified home buyers in 13 states, including: Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The program provides an interest rate reduction of 0.125 percent on a Countrywide loan used to purchase a new home that is built meeting recognized green and energy efficient standards. Read More...
