Many products can contribute to earning points in the LEED for Homes program. To determine whether a specific product can contribute to LEED certification, review the LEED for Homes Rating System, particularly Materials & Resources Credit 2: Environmentally Preferable Products, which outlines how to earn up to 8 points for using products that are reused, reclaimed, sustainably harvested, rapidly renewable, recycled, local, low-emitting, etc.
